Recent Beauty Empties

How are you all?  I hope you've recovered from eating too much turkey and too many tins of sweets.  We still have three boxes of Quality Street left!!  They will keep us going until Easter.  Over the past few months I have gathered together a few of my recent beauty empties that I've been enjoying and want to share with you all.

Treacle Moon: My Coconut Island Body Scrub
So for a girl who hates everything coconut, this may come as a surprise, even to me!  I was recommended this range and scent by a cashier in my local Tesco.  I will admit, it took me a while to get use to the scent but I feel like it's not too overpowering so I could cope with it.  As a scrub itself, you can feel it getting to work, yet it isn't too harsh to cause you any irritation.  It lathers nicely and it is very moisturising at the same time.  I absolutely love all packaging by Treacle Moon.  It is simple, yet whimsical and very pleasing to the eye.  As a brand it is vegetarian and vegan friendly.  It is currently £3 on the Tesco website with a any 2 for £4 offer.

Botanics: All Bright Cleansing Foam Wash
I have had normal but acne prone skin for years and I am yet to settle on a face wash that I 100% love.  I heard many positive reviews on the Botanics range and decided to give it a try.  It is currently on the Boots website for £2.50, totally budget friendly!  The face wash has a nice lather with a gentle exfoliant.  A little goes a long way allowing the product to last a long time.  It gives an effective deep clean removing about 98% of makeup including mascara,  however don't let it get in your eyes because it sure can sting!!  One of my favourite things about this face wash is that my skin wasn't left feeling dry and  tight, begging me to moisturise it the way most face washes do.  As a sucker for pretty packaging, this one ticks all my boxes.  It's simple, pretty and has just the right amount of colour.  The only thing I don't like about this face wash is the scent.  It wouldn't be my favourite, which surprised me as in all of the reviews I read everyone loved the scent.  It is quite floral and perfumed and was just too strong for my liking.  Overall I quite like this face wash and would definitely recommend it.

Temple Spa: Way To Go Cleansing Gel Wash
This is probably the most expensive face wash I have used to date.  Yes I really did spend £20 on this bad boy! Shocking, I know.  However, I do think it was worth it as it seemed to last me for forever.  Seriously, I thought was wishing it was never going to run out.  You can see from the pictures they have online that it was a lovely bright blue colour.  It had a very refreshing menthol scent, which made me feel as though my face was getting a deep clean.  As I've said, I have acne prone skin, which this gel wash is suitable for as it helps to remove excess sebum.  I do think that this helped to calm my acne and reduce any redness.  With this product I was easily able to remove my eye make-up and I didn't come out of the shower looking like a panda, like I usually do.  It was great as it didn't irritate my eyes.  What I love about this packaging is that you can clearly see how much product you have left and when it's done, it is really done.  Every last drop is squeezed out of that bottle thanks to the airless pump.

No7: Really Renewing Body Polish
So I had this little 40ml bottle which I assume is only travel sized and I decided to just use it up.  I used it all in one shower!!  Yes, all 40ml of it.  I really liked the smell of this product.  I would say it is somewhere between the smell of moisturiser and suncream.  Does anyone else love the smell of suncream?  It is supposedly suitable for all skin types, which I am sceptical of.  Has anyone with sensitive skin found that products that claim to be suitable for all skin types actually work for them??  I'd love to know.  It lathered really well, much more than any other exfoliating product I have used and it has lefft my skin feeling rather soft.  Unfortunately I can't find it online, but here are some other bath products by No7.

Have you used any of these products?  What are your thoughts on them?  I'd love to hear from you.

K xx
